# 📦 Warehouse

A **Warehouse** is a private storage building for your companies. Your companies in the same region can draw raw materials from it and store their finished goods in it. That lets you supply one of your companies with another's output without going through the market.

It's the first piece of [Player-Owned Infrastructure](/doc/player-owned-infrastructure-Fpp97sdXjN): you build it, you own it, and only your companies can use it.

## Requirements

| | |
|-----|-----|
| **VBX cost** | 25 (paid by you) |
| **Productivity required** | 300 |
| **Materials** | 100 Wood, 100 Steel, 100 Cement |
| **Appeal** | \+5 |
| **Limit** | One per player per region |

Start one from **[your name] → My Infrastructure**. See [Player-Owned Infrastructure](/doc/player-owned-infrastructure-Fpp97sdXjN) for how buying materials, wages and construction work.

## Linking your companies

A Warehouse only serves **companies you manage in the same region**. To link one, open it in **Economics → Company Manager**, click **Edit Company**, and tick either or both options:

* **Use RM from Warehouse:** if the company doesn't have enough of a raw material for a shift, the shift uses it from the Warehouse instead.
* **Fill Warehouse:** finished goods are stored in the Warehouse instead of the company's own stock.

These options only appear for your own companies in a region where you have a standing Warehouse. They apply to shifts worked by both players and NPCs. A linked company's Company Manager page shows a **Warehouse** panel describing what's linked.

**Example:** link a Wood company with *Fill Warehouse* and a Paper company in the same region with *Use RM from Warehouse*. The Paper company now uses the wood your Wood company produces, whenever it runs out of its own.

## Contents & moving goods

Each Warehouse on **My Infrastructure** lists everything stored in it, by goods and tier. You can move whole units out:

* **To one of your companies in the region:**
  * raw materials the company uses go into its raw materials, and
  * the company's own product goes into its stock (at the same tier), ready to sell.
* **To your inventory:** finished goods only. Raw materials and power can't be taken into your inventory.

Linked companies list under **Linked Companies** on the Warehouse, with a shortcut to Edit Company.

## Networth

A Warehouse counts towards your **Networth**: its 25 VBX build cost, plus everything stored in it. Stored goods are valued the same way as company stock, at the median price in the nation that holds the region, converted to VBX at that nation's exchange rate.

## Repairs

A Warehouse is repaired like any other player structure, using **wood, steel and cement from its own contents**. Those are the same materials your linked companies may be storing or using. Use the **Buy** buttons under Repairs on My Infrastructure to restock repair materials, and set a repair wage if you want help.

:::warning
A Warehouse at 0% integrity collapses, and **everything stored in it is lost**. Linked companies also stop using a Warehouse while it's fully broken. Keep it repaired if its region sees fighting.
