Walkthrough

In your first day as a citizen there are a few very important things to do.

1. Get a job

In the Marketplace menu you will find a button called Job Offers. You can take job offers of your skill level or below. Note that "PB" offers means "Production Based": you will get the displayed amount of money per production point, so they can be better or worse than fixed wages. There are three different sectors, Gathering, Manufacturing and Construction. You can only take offers that are located in your region so before you apply for a job, make sure that the job is in the same region as you are in. If it isn't you can either move to the region that the job is in or apply for a different job.

If you don't know which job offer you should take, you can ask other players in National Chat or in the National forum. The best-paying skill-zero job is not necessarily in the industry you will want to follow long-term.

2. Work

Now that you have a job, you must work for your company. There are two ways to get to the Employment page. You can click work under "Tasks Remaining Today", or you can click work in daily tasks menu. After you have worked you will receive your salary, and lose 1 Health and 1 Happiness. Working makes your work skill rise. The less skill you have, the faster it will rise. Here is a tab showing the values:
Skill 0: +1
Skill 1: +0.25
Skill 2: +0.1
Skill 3: +0.05
Skill 4: +0.02
Skill 5: +0.01

3. Eat

Because you lose Health from working you can consume bread to restore it. Your citizen comes with 5 bread, so you do not need to purchase any during your first few days. If you haven't eaten today, daily tasks will show an option to eat food. There are other ways to consume bread: you can access your inventory in Citizen Overview and click on consume bread, or click on the bread icon in the briefcase menu in the right. You can eat 9 pieces of food per day. For a larger boost, once you can afford it you'll be able to purchase Pizza or Delicious Cake.
There are some advantages for new players involving food and health:
Level 1 & 2 citizens gain 1 health at day change.
Level 1-4 Citizens gain 1 XP for the first meal they eat each day.
Level 1-4 citizens do not lose 1 health if they haven't eaten the preceeding day.

House

Houses automatically give a bonus at daychange. T1 houses give 1, T2, 2 and T3, 3. This bonus can be adjusted by the house owner from here, so he can choose to gain more health or happiness. Houses can also be removed (permanently deleting them from the game) and packed up, which lowers it's integrity by 10% and sends the house to your inventory.

Religion

Once per day, citizens may pray to their chosen religion and recieve a temporary bonus for the day. Remember to always pray as your first activity of the day, because the bonus is only given after praying. This bonus is greater the more devoted you are. Praying to a religion makes you gain 1 point in it, but lowers the other religions devotion by 1. Currently, there are 6 religions:

Players can also create their own religions, but 100 vBux are needed for that.
